Ginger Spice Juice

The team at The Cook's Store have made a pact to have at least one cleansing juice a day. We've been doing this ritual over the past few weeks and have experienced noticeable differences to our skin, energy and overall zest (pardon the pun) for life. One of our firm favourites is the Ginger Spice Juice due to its powerful antiseptic and anti-inflammatory benefits. If you are feeling a little bit low, dehydrated, feverish or achey this juice will help perk you up.

Ingredients 

Juice for one person. 

Ginger - Just cut about an inch of a stick of ginger. Keep the skin on its full of nutrients 

Studies have shown that ginger has helped increase mobility in a group of people suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis. Taken daily (fresh) over a course of 6 months members in the group noticed obvious improvements. 

1 x Large peeled orange. 

Oranges lower cholesterol, boost your heart and help prevent cancer. 

1 x Large apple - Make sure you wash it. 

As well as having similar properties to oranges research has shown that people who eat fruits and other high-fibre foods gain a certain amount of protection against Parkinson’s, a disease characterized by a breakdown of the brain’s dopamine-producing nerve cells. Scientists have linked this to the free radical-fighting power of the antioxidants contained therein.

2 x Carrots unpeeled unless they are organic. I would remove the top. 

As well as making you see better in the dark Carrots are rich in Beta carotene which is a powerful antioxidant which helps in maintaining a healthy skin and also keep one away from many diseases

Now Juice! Juice! Juice!

Now all you will need to do is pop all the ingredients in a Juicer to feel fantastic and energised for the rest of the day.
